Great Expectations: The Key to Massive Opportunity

“You are not someone hoping for opportunities to come. You are someone that opportunities are actively seeking out - right now.” - Brian Scott

Expectations are extremely powerful, but not always easy to change. We see it most clearly in sports - a player or even an entire team gets into a rut, and nothing seems to go right. They step onto the field and everyone from the clubhouse, to the fans to the broadcast booth is expecting the worst. Winning expectations are equally powerful… when we’re on a hot streak, we walk into the game with confidence, knowing that somehow things will work out, even if it’s down to the last play of the game.

Outside of sports, the same principles apply, even if they aren’t as clear cut. In everyday life, expectations drive opportunities. Opportunities aren’t random, they resonate based on our expectations. They are frequencies of possibility vibrating in the quantum field - seeking co-creators. Whether you receive them isn’t about effort alone. It’s about your energetic expectations. In other words: Opportunity isn’t something you find. It’s something you tune into, based on expectations!

🧠 The Science of Tuning Into Expectations

🎙️ If you're tuned to scarcity and expect disappointment, opportunity is noise.
🎙️ If you're tuned to abundance and expect success, opportunity is signal.

Your expectations act as a filter. What you assume shapes what your brain lets in. This is the Reticular Activating System (RAS) in action. If you assume and expect to be lucky, guess what? Your RAS will show you proof. If you believe and expect "there are no good opportunities right now" - your RAS will hide them from view.

This is what Earl Nightingale meant when he said,
“You become what you think about most of the time.”

🔄 It’s a Two-Way Signal: What Are You Broadcasting?
Not only do we dial into our environment to receive information, but we also send out our own powerful signals to everyone around us. Every day, you’re sending out one of two signals to the opportunity field and across your extended social network:

  • “I’m ready and expect to win.” vs. “I’m not ready and expect to lose.”

These aren’t just ideas - they’re energetic broadcasts. Your expectations, posture, tone of voice, even the way you enter a room… all say something to the field.

And just like a magnet, opportunity responds. That’s why your internal expectations matter as much, if not more, than your external effort.

🧬ROCKET Principle: Remember Your Future Self.
There’s a version of you already living in Opportunity Flow.
They aren’t luckier. They’re simply operating from a baseline of higher expectations.

  • Expectation instead of anxiety

  • Possibility instead of problem

  • Magnetism instead of need

🛠️ Change Your Expectations
Want a fast, proven way to shift your expectations and enter Opportunity Flow?

Use this 3x-a-day calibration ritual to flood your frequency with Great Expectations. At first these exercises can feel totally awkward - especially if you’re in the middle of a losing streak, but stick with it. After just a few days, you will start to see startling changes. Then, once the positive momentum starts to shift, double-down and raise your expectations even higher.

🕰️ MORNING EXPECTATION ACTIVATION (30 seconds upon waking):
Repeat out loud or internally:
✅ “I EXPECT Great Opportunities will seek me out today.”
✅ “I am a magnet for lucrative possibilities.”
✅ “Something extraordinary is trying to find me today.”

Feel it in your body. Don’t just say it. Embody it. Expect it!

🔁 MIDDAY EXPECTATION RESET (any time you feel off-track):
Pause. Breathe. Repeat:
✅ “The signal I expect is the future I receive. I expect great things today!”
✅ “I align now with Great Expectations and Opportunity Flow.”

🔁 EVENING EXPECTATION PLAN (set the bar for tomorrow):
✅ “I can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow.”
✅ “Things alway go my way.
I EXPECT Opportunities will arrive!
I EXPECT Good luck!
I EXPECT to Win!”

💥 Stop Waiting!
From this moment on, you are no longer waiting for “something good to happen.” You are walking into rooms expecting opportunities to reveal themselves.

You don’t have an opportunity problem. The world is full of countless opportunities. You need to deliberately activate your Great Expectations.
