The Low Cost of Kindness
My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.
-Steve Jobs
Although Steve Jobs was notably mercurial at work, by all accounts he was a loyal husband, father and friend - and behind the scenes, generously supported many organizations in the Bay Area.
How much does everyday kindness really cost? In a world where inflation seems out of control, kindness remains an incredible bargain! For anyone willing to do a tiny bit of inner digging and attitude adjustment, kindness can become an abundant and renewable resource that costs next to nothing. Not only does kindness typically cost very little, but it also takes very little time and yields extraordinary results.

The next time you are walking in a place of scarcity and are setback on your heels, try sharing some simple kindness to the people in your day-to-day life. Don’t even worry about reaching for some type of next level kindness- just focus on doing some simple deeds like holding the door for someone, saying “good morning” to a stranger, or giving a word of appreciation to someone in your family.
The universe will probably not immediately shower you with riches just because you let someone cut in front of you on the highway, but those simple acts of kindness will start to cause a shift in your own attitude and perceptions.
It’s worth repeating, kindness has a simplicity and elegance that we often overlook - it’s low cost, usually takes just an instant, and can have a big impact.
